Where Has Morality Gone?
Check out my latest published book. After spending countless hours working up to its release, I’m proud to announce that it is now available as a paperback and ebook at https:// www.dovechristianpublishers .com/catalog/non-fiction/ Fresh-Fruit/
Do
not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.” (1 Corinthians 15:33)
We are all human beings, created by the same
God, and yet our morality has been split into a million pieces. Even churches
split and one becomes conservative while one becomes liberal. These things
should not be so. Revival, the inviting of the Holy Spirit into our churches
must come now.
The biggest influences in the losing of morality
are the statements that appear logical if we don’t look too deep. Those who say
women should have control of their own bodies seem to make sense until we
realize that women’s bodies are not theirs alone. We should be able to love who
we love, right? But that means men with men, women with women which we know is
an abomination to the Lord. Schools say children need self-esteem and they do,
but some have taken it too far and created a totally self-focused generation
who believe that whatever they want and enjoy is their right. No more do with
think of others as better than ourselves.
Do nothing
from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others
more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look
not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. (Philippians
2:3,4)
Those who speak the loudest and longest are the
ones who are listened to in this world. Technology allows all to be heard all
the time. They make the news, they cause protests in the streets that become
violent and eventually the world falls in line with their thinking.
The result of listening to those who speak the
loudest, without checking what they say against the word of God, is sin. The
result of believing that whatever feels good is good, is sin. The world has
gradually embraced sin as acceptable. Long-held beliefs based on the bible are
not applicable today they say. But God does not change.
Now
the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality,
idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries,
dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I
warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not
inherit the kingdom of God. (Galatians 5:19-21)
Sex means nothing, dressing provocatively and
speaking vulgar language makes one popular. Yelling and fighting, drama and
chaos swirl around in family units, between neighbors and in our government.
Drugs and alcohol, swapping spouses, ‘identifying as the opposite sex’, lying
to avoid discomfort, and taking what we want even if it doesn’t belong to us is
the norm of today.
God has warned us and if we, as Christians do
not take this warning seriously we will not inherit the kingdom of God. If we
do not take the evil that has pervaded this world seriously, we will not
survive the persecution that is already upon us. God is not mocked.
God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of
man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has
he spoken, and will he not fulfill it? (Numbers 23:19)
The bible is the Holy Word of God. It is truth.
It does not change with the times. Even though there are a variety of
interpretations, sin remains sin in all of them. God is God in all of them. The
world may have lost its way, but we must remain steadfast, following the truth
and living our lives accordingly no matter what the world may say about it.
Evil, hatred, immorality, all sin has no place
with us or in the church. If we believe
that something we are doing is wrong in the eyes of God (only ourselves can we
judge) for us it is sin. Stop doing it. It may not be easy, and it may not be
popular with our group of friends, but we must live for God alone, have faith
in God alone, and believe in God alone.
The world has lost its moral compass. We must make
sure that ours is true to course or we will drown in the sea of filth that is
all around us. The flood of Noah’s time is nothing compared to what is
happening to kill the world and destroy souls now.
Owe
no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has
fulfilled the law. For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You
shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other
commandment, are summed up in this word: “You shall love your neighbor as
yourself.” Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling
of the law. (Romans 13:8-10)
Fulfill the law of God by loving, not only those
who agree with us, but those who don’t. Only by showing God’s love in difficult
situations can we see change come about. Arguing and fighting does not produce
change. We must be the change. We must stay the course even when those around
us think we are fools to do so.
God is all powerful, never changing, and has
complete and unconditional love for everyone. We must fight the powers of
darkness that are overtaking the world. We must ask the Holy Spirit for more of
every gift and fruit that God will provide to maintain our walk with Him among
those who are enemies of God, some whom are in our own families.
Do
your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need
to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15)
