God, the BEST Boss ever

We have such a loving God.  He cares about each one of us, leads us and guides us, teaches us and stays with us every moment of every day.  He calls us son and daughter, heirs to His kingdom.  Christ calls us brothers and sisters.  It is wonderful to have the ability to enjoy such a close relationship with our Lord.

I think, though, that because of this, we start to think of Him as human.  We bring Him down to our level.  We make Him limited as we are limited.

But God is not limited.
Think about this seriously for a minute.

God       created      EVERYTHING!  The universe, the earth, animals, plants, people, water, sky, clouds, rain, sun, moon, emotions, hair, skin, body parts, physics, laws of nature, relativity, color, light, darkness, medicine, and of course I could go on and on.

God is our LORD,  He is KING,  He controls ALL.

And yet, he loves us, listens to us, and works all things for the good for those who love Him.

Have you ever had a boss that even though they were really important, still talked to the so called "little people", called you by name, asked about your family, and sat with their workers to chat?  Wasn't that the best boss you ever had?

Well that is just a tiny representation of our God.  He is all important, King of the Universe and yet He knows you by name and cares about every detail of your life.

When we talk to our magnificent God, I think it is important to acknowledge Him for who He is before we start asking for favors.  The prayer that Jesus taught His disciples started with "Our father, who art in Heaven HALLOWED (HOLY) be thy name.  Thy KINGDOM come, Thy WILL be done on earth, as it is in heaven"

Let us remember who we are talking to when we address the King and also who we are talking to as our Father in heaven because He is both and He has good plans for us and cherishes us as children, yet is powerful enough to do anything in His will.

It is a difficult concept for us to grasp but what a wonderful God we serve.

Questions:

Do you believe that God can do all things?
Do you believe that He will do them for you?
Do you sometimes make God small?

What the bible says about God: there are so many more

Revelation 22:13English Standard Version

13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end      .”

1 John 3:1-24 ESV

See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is.

Colossians 1:16 ESV

For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him

Luke 18:27 ESV

But he said, “What is impossible with men is possible with God.”

1 Timothy 1:17 ESV

To the King of ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen
